Kadapt vs HeyGen for Real Estate: Presenter or Listing Photos?
Updated October 2026
HeyGen and Kadapt solve different problems. HeyGen builds an AI avatar of you from a short phone clip and has that presenter deliver market updates, introductions and listing tours; Kadapt starts from the listing photos you already have and turns them into a scripted, voiced vertical reel you approve before it renders. If the video should feature you on screen, HeyGen is the tool built for that; if it should feature the property and you want a feed that keeps running between shoots, Kadapt fits better.
HeyGen's pricing and real estate statements below were read from heygen.com/pricing and heygen.com/real-estate on 5 October 2026. Kadapt figures come from kadapt.com/pricing the same day. Prices and features move — tell us if one is stale and we'll fix it.
Disclosure first: Kadapt is our product, so read this with that in mind. We kept every HeyGen statement to what HeyGen publishes on its own pages and dated the check; where its site doesn’t say something, we say so instead of guessing.
What each tool starts from
HeyGen starts from you. On its real estate page HeyGen describes a four-step flow: create an avatar from a 15-second phone clip, turn housing data into market updates, create presenter-led home tours from property links, photos and details, and introduce yourself to buyers. Its line for listings: “Paste a listing link. HeyGen turns the property details and photos you already have into a polished tour.” It also says more than 13,500 real estate agents use it. The output is a presenter on screen, whatever else is in the frame.
Kadapt starts from the photos. You upload a listing’s photos and choose a Photo Reel, which animates your original stills, or an AI Video, which generates reference-based motion from them. Kadapt plans the shot order, writes the script, voices it and renders a vertical reel with editable captions to review before publishing. You approve the plan before it renders, and the credit quote is shown before you commit. There is no presenter.

How to choose
Choose HeyGen when the point is you. Market updates, “meet your agent” clips and buyer follow-ups are about trust in a person, and an avatar lets you produce them without a camera day. Review the output before you post; it carries your name.
Choose Kadapt when the point is the listing. A just-listed, a price drop or an open house invitation needs the property in frame. A photo reel is not walkthrough footage and shouldn’t be sold as one; it is the photos you already paid for, given motion, narration and captions, in a couple of minutes of your time.
Use both if leads are the goal. The NAR 2025 Technology Survey has social media as the top source of quality leads at 39% (see the primary source on our stats page). The agents who benefit are the ones whose feed keeps running, so one weekly presenter clip plus a reel for every listing is a workable rhythm. Consistency, not any single tool, is the lever.
Where we’d point you to HeyGen
If you want to appear on screen without filming, if you work in several languages (HeyGen lists 175+ on Creator), or if you need long videos (its paid plans list up to 30 minutes), that is not what Kadapt does. Our tool roundup covers the other categories, and the trial lets you judge ours on your own listing instead of our word.
Whatever you choose, the script is the part you can sort today: the free listing reel script generator turns the listing details into a short voiceover and caption set.
Common questions
Is HeyGen good for real estate agents?
HeyGen's own real estate page positions it for three jobs: market update videos from local housing data, home tour videos from a listing link, and agent introductions, all presented by an AI avatar made from a 15-second phone recording. If a presenter on screen is what you want, that is a real fit. If you want the video to be the property itself, with its own photos in motion, that is a different tool.
Does Kadapt use an avatar or my face?
No. Kadapt does not generate a presenter. A reel is your listing photos in motion with a written script, an AI voiceover and captions. If your brand depends on you being on camera, pair a presenter tool or your phone camera with reels for the listings.
Which is cheaper?
They price different things. HeyGen's public pricing lists Creator at $29 a month and Pro at $49, metered in credits, with a free plan of three videos a month; Kadapt starts at $14.99 a month for 200 Starter credits (Solo is $49 for 800 credits), and the app shows the credit quote before you render. Count what you actually make each month: one weekly talking-head and a reel per listing are different volumes.
Can I try Kadapt before paying?
Yes. You can sign up, upload a listing and see the full plan without a card, and new accounts start with 25 free credits. The 14-day trial needs a card and adds 340 credits. Credit allowances are not a reel guarantee; the app shows the cost of each render before you approve it.
