Turn your Airbnb photos into a short social reel.

Use five listing photos to introduce your holiday let in a 15-second vertical video for your own social feed. Here is a worked brief and the steps to turn your own photos into a voiced Photo Reel in Kadapt.

Start with the free reel brief builder if you want to prepare your words first. It makes editable notes in your browser; making the video happens in the app.

1. Choose five photos with different jobs

Pick an opening view, a bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom and one useful final detail. Use spaces guests actually have access to. Five views of the same room leave less time to show the rest of the place. The photo checklist helps you narrow a larger set down.

Keep the original files. A vertical frame can crop the edges of a landscape photo, so check that beds, doors and important details remain visible. Airbnb recommends horizontal photos for its listing pages; keep those originals for your listing. Its official photography guide explains framing, lighting and photo captions.

2. Write a short, factual brief

This is a fictional example, using an invented property called Harbour Lane Flat. Replace every detail with what is true of your place. The times are suggestions for the brief; the app drafts the actual shot plan.

  1. 0–3 seconds: living area with a sofa.
  2. 3–6 seconds: double bedroom.
  3. 6–9 seconds: kitchen with a hob.
  4. 9–12 seconds: bathroom with a shower.
  5. 12–15 seconds: entrance onto the lane.
Harbour Lane Flat. Living area with sofa. Double bedroom. Kitchen with hob. Bathroom with shower. Entrance onto the lane.

Keep the first draft short enough to say comfortably. Add only amenities, location details and availability that you can verify. The brief builder can suggest a shot order and narration from your own photo subjects.

3. Set up the reel in Kadapt

  1. Open the new-reel form. Sign in with your emailed code. First-time users add their name; “Business or agency (optional)” can be left blank.
  2. Enter a “Listing name or address” and choose “Start with photos”. Keep Photo Reel selected for pans, zooms and transitions over your still photos.
  3. Choose 15s for this example and add your photos. A length written in your brief does not select the app’s length control. For a 30-second brief, select 30s in the app too.
  4. Paste your edited brief into “Anything else for the plan? (optional)”. Check the photo order in the app separately. Choose your style, voice and music, then review the generated script and shot plan.
  5. Read the credit quote before choosing “Approve & render”. New accounts start with 25 free credits without a card; the work you choose determines how many credits it uses. See plans and credit examples.

4. Check the finished reel before sharing

Watch it with sound on. Check pronunciation, every caption, the photo crops and which spaces appear. Confirm you have reviewed the finished video, then save the MP4. If your browser opens the video instead of saving it, use its “Save video” control and return to your reel.

Kadapt’s reel is a separate video for you to review and share. Manage your Airbnb listing photos through Airbnb’s own photo-tour tools; Kadapt does not update that listing.

What if I am advertising a spare room?

Follow the room photo reel walkthrough. It starts with SpareRoom’s own landscape video guide, then shows how to make a separate vertical reel from bedroom and shared-space photos.
