Where a listing QR code earns its place
A QR code turns a printed sign, flyer or window card into a link someone can open from the pavement. It works best where a person is already looking at the home and wants more: the for-sale sign, the open house poster, a flyer in the box by the door, a postcard, a business card or a window display. Give it a headline that says what they get when they scan, such as “Scan for photos and price”.
Make a code that scans
- Link to one mobile-friendly page. A short, plain link makes a simpler and easier-to-scan code.
- Keep the white border and dark-on-light colours; do not recolour or stretch the code.
- Print it at about 2 cm square or larger, and bigger for signs read from further away.
- Test it with at least two phones before printing, then again on the finished print.
- This tool creates a plain link code, not a redirect we control, so there are no scan counts. If you want to know how many people scan, use a link to a page whose own analytics you can see.
Pair it with the rest of the open house kit
Print the open house poster with its built-in QR code, keep the day on track with the open house checklist, collect visitors with the sign-in sheet, and browse the rest of the free tools for real estate agents.

Common questions
Is the listing QR code generator really free?
Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no expiry. The QR code is a plain link to the address you enter, not a tracked or redirected short link, so it keeps working as long as your page does.
Does Kadapt see the link I enter?
No. The code is drawn in your own browser. The link and the text on the card are not sent to Kadapt, stored, or used in analytics.
What should a listing QR code link to?
Link to one page that does one job: the full listing, a photo gallery, a virtual tour, a booking or sign-in form, or your agent page. Use a link that works on a phone, and avoid pages that need a login.
How big should the QR code be when printed?
About 2 cm (0.8 in) square is a common minimum for a code scanned from arm’s length, and bigger is better for a sign read from further away. Keep the white border around it and print in dark ink on a light background. Print a test copy and scan it with a phone before you print a stack.
PNG or SVG: which should I download?
PNG works almost everywhere, including social posts and documents. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which suits a printer or a sign maker. Both contain just the QR code.
Do the codes work with every phone?
Current iPhone and Android cameras read standard QR codes. We build codes to the standard, but we have not tested every phone, so test yours before relying on it.
