Open house poster maker

Fill in the facts, add a photo and logo, and save a print-ready PDF. Photos and logos stay in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Fair housing: describe the property, not the people. Keep to facts about the home and avoid wording about who should or shouldn’t live there.

In the print dialog choose “Save as PDF”, and turn margins off if shown.

What to put on an open house poster

A poster is read from a few feet away by someone walking past, so keep it to what they need to decide to come in: the address, the date and time, the price, beds, baths and square footage, one strong photo, and your name and phone number. Add a short description of the property itself and stop there. If you can read the poster in three seconds, it works.

    A4 or US Letter?

US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches; A4 is 210 × 297 mm, slightly narrower and taller. Pick the one your printer actually holds. Choosing the wrong size makes the print dialog shrink the poster or cut off an edge.

    Printing tips

    • In the print dialog choose “Save as PDF”, set scale to 100% and turn margins off.
    • Use a photo at least 1,500 pixels wide. Small photos print soft.
    • Print one copy on plain paper first and check the phone number digit by digit.
    • For a sign or window, print on heavier paper or in a copy shop, not on thin office stock.

    Adding a QR code

The QR code is on by default and builds itself from the fields above: scanning it offers to save your name, phone and email as a contact, with the address, price and facts in the note. To send people to a page instead, such as the listing, a photo gallery or a visitor sign-in (there is a free open house sign-in sheet maker for the paper version, and a printable open house checklist; for a plain link QR there is also the listing QR code generator), paste an https link in the link field. If a lot of text makes the code dense, some note details are left out and the form tells you which. Keep it at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) square, leave the white border around it, and scan the printed copy with your phone from a few feet away before you print more.

    A fair-housing note

Describe the property, not the people who might live there. “Four bedrooms and a fenced garden” is safe; “perfect for a young family” is not. Paste your description into the fair housing copy checker before you print. Many brokerages also require an Equal Housing logo on printed ads, so check your broker’s rules.

    Common questions

Is the open house poster maker really free?

Yes. There is no signup and no watermark. The poster is built in your browser and saved as a PDF through your browser’s print dialog.

    Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The photo and logo you add are read by your own browser to draw the poster. They are not sent to Kadapt or stored.

Should I choose A4 or US Letter?

Use US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) for printing in the United States and Canada, and A4 (210 × 297 mm) almost everywhere else. If the size does not match the paper in the printer, the print dialog will scale or crop the poster.

What is the difference between the two templates?

Template A is an open house advert: the date and time sit in the header, so it works on a sign, a window or a community board. Template B is a property handout with a feature list, for visitors to take home.

What should the QR code link to?

By default it needs no input: the QR code holds your contact card (name, phone and email) with the property details in the note, so a phone can save you as a contact in one scan. If you would rather send people to one page, such as the full listing, a photo gallery or a sign-in form, paste an https link and it replaces the contact card. Print a test copy and scan it with a phone before you print a stack.
