Real estate reel hook generator

Choose the property type and a feature and get 12 short on-screen hook lines for a listing reel, in five different styles. Edit any line, then copy it. Nothing you type is sent or stored.

Starting points, not guarantees. Describe the property, not the people. Check what you post against fair housing rules and your local advertising rules.

Hook written? Kadapt turns your listing photos into the whole reel: plan, script, voiceover and captions. Next: the reel script generator and the Instagram caption generator.

What a reel hook does

A hook is the first line on screen, the thing that tells a scroller what this video is and why to keep watching. On a listing reel it usually names the property and one feature, in a few words, over the best shot you have.

The five styles

  • Question: asks the viewer something about the home or their situation.
  • Number: gives the video a clear shape, such as three things to notice.
  • Curiosity: points at a detail and invites the viewer to see it.
  • Just listed: the plain, factual announcement. It works because it is clear.
  • Contrast: sets an expectation against what the tour shows.

Using the lines

  1. Pick the one feature you would show first. One feature per hook reads better than a list.
  2. Add the price only if you are happy to say it in the first second.
  3. Edit a line in its box until it fits on two lines of the screen, then press Copy.
  4. Put it over your opening clip. Then write a script with the listing reel script generator, plan the order with the reel shot order planner and write the caption with the Instagram caption generator.
  5. Run the final wording through the fair housing checker.

If you have photos but no time to edit, Kadapt turns listing photos into a vertical reel with a script and voiceover. More free tools are on the free tools for real estate agents page.

Common questions

Is the reel hook generator really free?

Yes. There is no signup and no watermark. The hooks are built in your browser and you can edit each line before you copy it.

Does Kadapt see what I type?

No. The property type, feature, price and audience are used only to build the lines on your own screen. Nothing is sent to Kadapt or stored. The only thing counted is that someone pressed a copy button, never what the lines said.

Will these hooks get views?

No tool can promise that. A hook is a first line that tells the viewer what the video is about. These are varied starting points in five styles (question, number, curiosity, just listed and contrast) so you can test what suits your listing and your audience.

Why no claims like "sold in 3 days"?

Claims about speed, price or results need to be true for your listing and provable. The generator only uses what you typed, so nothing it writes can be an invented fact. If you add a claim yourself, check it first.

Is the wording fair housing safe?

The lines describe the property and the situation of the viewer, such as first-time buyers or investors. They avoid words about who a home is suited to by family, age, religion, race, disability or similar. The feature text is yours, so run the finished line through the free fair housing checker before you post.

How long should an on-screen hook be?

Short enough to read in two seconds, usually under about eight words. If a line is long, edit it in the box before copying.
